Hank A. Van Cleef, age 61, died Monday, April 11, 2016 at his home in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota.Henry Anthony Van Cleef was born February 25, 1955 in Pelican Rapids, MN, to John and Grace (Motz) Van Cleef. He attended school in Pelican Rapids, and then he worked at Fergus Brick and Dynamic Homes, both in Fergus Falls. Hank graduated from Detroit Lakes Technical College as a Building Services Technician. In 1992 he began to work for Pelican Ambulance as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). From 1994 to 2006 Hank worked for Pelican Ambulance as a Paramedic. On March 20, 2004, Hank was united in marriage with Angela Bristol at Pelican Rapids Baptist Church. Hank earned his commercial driver's license and worked for Super Septic and Excavation for the past nine years.He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed muscle cars, especially Ford Mustangs. Many people will remember Hank as being very mechanical and always there to lend a helping hand.In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the memory of Hank.Hank is survived by his wife Angela; children: Merle (Joy) Van Cleef, Angie (Dewey) Berg, Tiffany (Jeremy) Johnson, Laura (Billy) Gierszewski, April Van Cleef, Trisha Van Cleef, Dustin Torvinen, Alesha Torvinen, Austin Torvinen, Shannon (Samantha) Torvinen, Chris (Angie) Julsrud, Andy (Diane) Julsrud, Brandon (Nicole) Julsrud, and Misty (Hector) Julsrud; 41 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter; sisters: Gerry Carter, Moureen (Charles) Grunewald, Joanne (Ron) Sherbrooke, and Johneen (Todd) Van Cleef; brother Bob (Pam) Van Cleef; mother-in-law Patricia Wahl; brothers-in-law: Danny (Mary) Jones and Jeff (Rebecca) Bristol; and sister-in-law Sheila (Thomas) Bolden and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Gracie, great-grandson Caleb, sister Kathy, niece Rhonda, nephew Benjamin, brother-in-law Dick Carter, numerous uncles and aunts.
