Salvador Flores

Salvador Jesus Flores, 51, currently lived In Pelican Rapids, MN with his daughter and son-in-law (Kristel and Doug).He passed away at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. He has had some health issues and his heart just couldn't take it all. It was very sudden and unexpected as we thought he was improving.Sal was born on June 1, 1965, in Los Angeles, CA. His parents are David and Irene (Garcia) Perez. Sal had four children, Kristel Flores (Doug Branchaud) (Pelican Rapids, MN), Kelly Flores (Fargo, ND), Kristina Flores (Fargo, ND), Salvador Flores JR (Evelyn Gardner) (Grants Pass, OR), from his first marriage. He then remarried Silvia Murillo and had two more children Mason Flores (Grants Pass, OR) and Deztini Flores (Grants Pass, OR).Sal grew up in East L.A. And later in life moved to Grants Pass, OR where he worked at the mill, which he was very proud of. He also spent some time in MN driving potato truck for his son-in-law Jesse Olson, which he also really enjoyed doing. In spring of 2016 Sal moved to MN to live with his daughter Kristel and son-in-law Doug to help raise his grandchildren.Sal enjoyed hunting (especially Elk), fishing, camping and anything outdoors. He also had a love for music and old cars. He most definitely loved all his children and grandchildren very much. Family meant everything to him. He was always volunteering to help out with his grandkids. He always had a special place in his heart for his "babies".Sal was very funny and fun loving, always making jokes and funny statements, especially if you were having a down day. He always cared for everyone, always putting others before himself.Sal is survived by his father David Perez (Grants Pass, OR), a brother Paul Perez (Fontana, CA), six children, Kristel (Doug), Kristina, Kelly, Salvador JR, Mason, Deztini, plus two children who weren't biologically his but he still considered them his kids Justin and Linda Tellinghuisen who are half siblings to Kristel, Kristina, Kelly, and Sal JR, 19 grandchildren, Destini, Angel, Dominic, Alana, William, Dante, August, Dakodah, Danicca (Kristel), Tanner, Racquel, Bryon, Kain, LouElla-Ann (Kristina), Kyla, Makenna, Kailynn (Kelly), Rahzel, Gabriel, plus one on the way (Sal JR), along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, family and friends that were also very dear to his heart.I, Kristel, would also like to put a special mention to the Krueger family whom he loved, and give special thanks to those who visited him during his stay in the hospital while he was in Oregon. He appreciated it more than you will know. He was preceded in death by his brother David, and his mother Irene. There will be a small service that's to be announced at a later date, with the main Memorial Service to be on June 1, 2017 in Grants Pass, OR with the details on that service to be announced at a later date as well.
