Geraldine Hendrickson, age 86, of Pelican Rapids, MN, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at her residence in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota.Geraldine Lyla was born February 12, 1931 in Moorhead, MN, to Henry and Esther (Lehmkuhl) Hanson. She was baptized to the Lutheran Faith in Moorhead. She attended school in Moorhead, graduating from Moorhead High School in 1949.On September 22, 1950 Geraldine was united in marriage with Gene Hendrickson at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Moorhead. Geraldine was a homemaker raising her two children, Michael and Laura. In 1965 Geraldine and Gene moved to Redmond, Washington. In 1996 they moved to Pelican Rapids.She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, working in her flower garden, and she was a fabulous cook.Geraldine is survived by her husband of 66 years, Gene, Pelican Rapids; son, Michael (Michele), Sammamish, WA, daughter, Laura (Craig) Trettevik, West Seattle, WA; five grandchildren: Troy (Heidi) Hendrickson, Theresa Drake, Heidi Michelle (Jason) Boyovich, Amy Spears, Joseph Trettevik; nine great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Earl Hanson and Roy Hanson; and grandson, Ben.Memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley.Visitation: Friday, May 19, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 2:30 p.m.at Larson Funeral Home, Pelican Rapids, MN.Clergy: Pastor Brad SoenksenBurial: Ringsaker Cemetery, Pelican Rapids, MinnesotaPallbearers will be Geraldine's Family and FriendsPlease keep the Hendrickson family in your thoughts and prayers.Funeral Home: Larson Funeral Home 304 3rd Street S.E.
